Three industrial branches are initially proposed for participation in the project:

  1. district heating – this sector participate in around 30% in final energy supply to households in Poland, it  is still undergoing structural changes and technical improvements, engagement of this sector would assure long-term impact of the project findings,
  2. furniture production – this is one of the most export oriented industry in Poland, which uses both conventional energy and renewable energy sources, is very open to absorb the best available technologies in the production process, is well organized
  3. food and drinks – this industrial branch is very large, combined of companies in different sizes from very small to large ones, it is very competitive and is looking for cost reduction measures including improvement of energy efficiency due to high energy intensity in the production process including packaging.
